I made a hay bag for Lily today using the instructions from a link on this forum from about 2 years ago. She was initially very suspicious of it - lots of creeping forward and freezing, she looked like she was playing a game of "What's the time, Mr Wolf?" with it! Then that irresistible smell of fresh hay got the better of her and soon she poked her nose and front paws right in and had a good rummage! Here it is, have to say I'm very pleased with it and have now taken out the hay rack. Unfortunately I couldn't get a photo of Lily in action because by the time I went and got my tablet she was having a snooze. Will try to get one soon.

I want to make a bigger hay bag. The one I bought off ebay when I first got the piggies was okay while they were babies and didn't eat as much hay but now they are eating more I had to switch to a bowl and it clutters up their cage. Is that made from fleece or just material? Good job by the way :)

I used cotton fabric, which was recommended in the instructions as the hay doesn't stick to it as much as it does to fleece.

Thanks, it's a piece I had leftover from making a big cushion for the kids' room a long time ago - it was from Ikea.
Here's Lily having a munch...
