So harveys gorge new baby bud Percy is quite strange to say the least. Gorgeous, friendly and sweet but utterly lazy and completely chilled.
He doesn't struggle when picked up, he doesn't wriggle when being brushed and is very quiet however very VERY vocal once Harvey is removed from hutch for medication time.
Another thing that is strange with this new bond is that Harvey hasn't shown a single sign of dominance yet. They've been together for nearly 24 hours and the most there has been is some squeals on Percys behalf. Harvey rumble struts but doesn't mount. He has shown no signs of aggression at all except a yawn and teeth chattering which lasted all of about two minutes When first introduced. Since baby can't climb the ladder I've put him at the bottom so harv can get away from him if he wants too. Which he does occasionally. And they are almost inseparable. I thought it was strange the lack of dominant behaviour and wanted to share. X
It's like they've known each other forever XD

To be honest its like Harvey kind of forgets he's there and is too lazy to try dominance.

I am not sure but it could be the fact that Percy is so young he is no threat to top pig and sits right at the bottom automatically.
We have had this happen with baby Widget, she went into our trio and went straight to the bottom of pecking order, hardly any dominance behavior off any of the girls towards her apart from the introductory head raises and Sarsaparilla grooming babies ears.
I would think it is because bot hare so young that it has gone smooth for both of us.

The new piggy not resisting being picked up is likely to mean he is too scared to struggle. Often new piggies just freeze when first handled.

That! Makes sense! X thanks for your story x I suppose Harvey is about tree times the size of him so what you said makes sense XD
x
He's a bit more comfortable today but still keeps trying to crawl under harveys belly x

when i got my last three babies they were really easy to catch but as they are getting older getting harder to catch. Pebbles the oldest one wouldnt accept older pigs but never bothered when babies came in, actually mothered them. The one i put in at 8 weeks she chased a little bit but as she totally backed down it wasnt a problem.Long may it last. Hoping it all doesnt go pear shaped as they mature
