NEW piggie

Hi guys so as you know i have two of my own guinea pigs in one cage and two others in another. Well i reckon my lil sisters first one is a girl not a boy (oh no for he or she is being housed with a boy so need a new cage even if its to late). I also made my own pigs cage bigger to suit three piggies.
Today I went to look at the really small pet shop that is here to see what i should suggest to fix and i saw this little guy

now i know boys *** always like each other i have this boy in a cage that is next to the others, they are going crazy all happy noises and pop corning, well before i put him in his cage i introduction them sorta via holding him and well all my piggies made a very happy noise i think these will get along, for snuffles normally chatters at wombat but for some reason pop corns and makes happy noises for this little guy, i need help with a name okay guys

He is one handsome little guy isnt he drool I'm glad to hear that hes been rescued from a pet shop to live with you.

Just from reading your post, you say you have 2 sets of piggies in different cages? Are you planning to put him with a bonded pair of males?

If so, this may not work as 3 males are quite a difficult set up. I'm not saying that it definitely wont, but just be prepared for some dominance issues within the group.

In terms of names, what are your other piggies called?
 
hi well first i put the newbie in a cage next to them they all were up at the bars tryin to get to each other, no i was worried for one of my piggys didnt like anther before that is why i have two cages with two in each. anyway but for there was no chattin i try them together all three in the run which is easier to grab them out if need and all they did was the humpin to show dom but no chattin at all, just the rumbling to show who is boss and some pop corning too. i am still going to keep the newbie in a sep cage next to the two for atleast a few days to make sure no chattin any way my piggies are named mr snuffles (brown and white) and coffee beans ( a darker brown that has ginger and black within his fur very cute) now the two others which are my 5yr old sis but i am in charge mahaha are named wombat who is black with a crown on his head and then mr moo (hope not mrs lol) who is black and white. i like the names like * ppl have millow or red etc for the names i got are so common

Hey Hun, sorry I havent been on for a few days so just catching up with this thread.

I dont think anyone on here is bias love, we all just want what is best for your piggies. I see that you have been doing some reading up about bonding - well done for doing that, you are obviously trying very hard.

I will echo what a lot of people have said about the internet though hun, just be careful what you read on it as there is a lot of very bad advice on there....and not just about GP's either. Not everyone is an expert, but everyone has an opinion.

I know people that have sucessfully bonded 3 males, but it is difficult and more often than not it doesnt work.

At the end of the day they are your pigs, and its up to you what you do with them. I will just ask you to think about the advice people have given, its all been done in good faith and to help you not to upset you.

How is the little guy? have you thought of a name for him yet?
