New To This- Anyone Else Have Experience With Idiopathic Cystitis?

My nearly 5 year pig been on &
Off poorly for past year after X-rays showed nothing etc she's on daily medication for cystitis. Wondered if anyone else has this

Hi, one of my pigs has been on daily medication for cystitis for about a year now.

She used to squeal in pain every time she peed, but since being on 2 Cystophan capsules, Loxicom for pain relief and Amitriptyline, she very rarely has a flare up anymore.

Only very occasionally will she squeal when peeing now and only if she's been stressed by being at the vets or something.

I also filtered her water to try and reduce the amount of calcium build up in her urine and it seems to have made a big difference

Thanks mine is on daily Metacam & capsules. She seems steady & has suffered with it for the last year too! She has the odd flare up but touch wood nothing for a while which is brill. I just wanted any advice around the matter & also learning how to use the website for future needs so thort would be great to see who else out there to get me started with this learning experience

I have one girl who has interstitial cystitis which I think is different to idiopathic cystitis. She has vegan Glucosamine daily and is on a special diet that was originally written for pigs with ic.
