Sorry about bumping my own thread but its a great offer xoxo

I was just coming on to say about the woodlands food lol
My piggies love it, even my fussy old man sam. seems good.

i thought you shouldn't give adult piggies alfalfa, or is it the otherway round, you mustn't give it to babies and pregnant sows?! ?/

Ive checked and alfalfa isnt bad for adults but has more calcium. I'll see how they get on with it, ive mixed it in with there other food so if its a no go then its not to bad.
what do others think of alfalfa?

It's fine if you don't feed too many other herbs and veggies that are high in calcium, although don't cut out high calcium veg altogether - just limit it a bit more. Science Selective Guinea Pig is another feed that contains alfalfa.

Is the Woodlands food a plain nugget type feed? The ingredients look fine, no particular concerns there, it looks quite okay!

Well only use it if you know you can use it - its common sense! :(|) :)

Yes it seems great anyway, just letting everyone know x

I've just seen this product in my local store and it does look good, but didn't buy it because of the alfalfa ?/
Apparently 'Woodland' is a subsidary of P@H, and the man serving said their products are quite expensive.
They also do a hay/forage but it was out of stock, but as pointed out to me, even with the offers, it's more expensive that Excel, as it's a much smaller quantity.

This buying food etc for my new 'piggies'...I never realised it was so interesting :)

Mine are all loving this, had it for a little while now. I am not using it as a complete food, more as a little treat top up. All the 'Boredom Breakers' stuff seems to have been repackaged under the Woodlands brand now too. x
