News from The Excellent Adventure Sanctuary - Archie!

Archie has been to see Simon this evening and it looks like he may have the start of a tooth root abscess.

Archie has serious dental problems that are managed by regular veterinary treatment. He has been doing really well this past few months and has been seeing Simon every 12 days to get his teeth filed. However, over the weekend Archie began to struggle a little and I was so glad it was his appointment this evening. If it hadn't been I would have brought it forward anyway. His teeth needed quite a lot of attention and he has a barely noticeable swelling on one side of his face. We aren't willing to take any chances, so he's going straight onto Zithromax.

Since arriving home Archie has been tucking into his food so much better and I am hopeful that we can get back on track very soon.

For a few weeks we will revert back to more frequent appointments, so he will see Simon again next Monday or before if I am worried.

Archie has such determination. Since getting home and having his meds, he's munched his way through a plateful of softened nuggets and is now having some porridge.

Poor little Archie, hope the meds kick in quickly Debbie and he is soon feeling tons better.

Archie has a definite swelling on one side of his face, that unfortunately can't be lanced at the moment due to its position. He is still pottering about and eating softened food, porridge, strawberries and sweetcorn. He sees Simon again on Monday.
