It sure is!

The vet sent me the copies of the x-rays so thought I'd let you all see them.

No stone!

Even I could spot the stone and I'm not a vet :o. Amazing!

Yeah, as soon as he loaded that one up I spotted it. And just to think, he managed to pass it! Ouchie!

He's doing good today and spent some time with his brother in the pen today. Few instances of showing dominance but they seem to still be fine with each other.

Nibbler isn't doing so great today. He's got a bad case of the grumps and has lost weight. I was really hoping that he would just go from strength to strength now.....but guess that's not the case :(

Aw come on Nibbler! Get better soon healing wheeks to you and your mummy! x

Thanks Jo. He's picked up this evening, he's in a much better mood and I weighed him again this evening and his weight is up now. Such a rollercoaster of emotions but hopefully he'll be all better soon.

Hello, I've just read through your thread, I wish you and Nibbler luck for his recovery. The x-rays are amazing, thanks for posting them, pretty cool seeing the inside of a piggie :))
I've just been through a rough week with one of mine and it is an absolute roller-coaster, one minute you think it's all good, the next things seem to have taken a turn, it's exhausting and frustrating and you just want your little boy to get better and be happy. But, on the plus side I have the most amazing bond that wasn't there before, and it's a two way bond as well, which I'm sure you have discovered!
Best of luck to Nibbler, I hope to hear more good news soon xox

Thank you. Yeah, when the vet showed me the x-rays I found it really interesting and was chuffed when he e-mailed them to me.

It sure is a rollercoaster of emotions. Hope your little one gets better soon. I agree, I have such a bond with Nibbler now after all this, so that's the one positive to come out of all of this.

Nibbler is doing good today, munching away and his weight is still up, currently 848g. Hopefully get him to at least 900g soon.

Currently I've still got the divider up in the cage so that Nibbler can still see and smell his brother but still can get peace. Not sure when to take it down though as his brother can be a bit of a pest to him as he's the dominant one.

Brilliant xrays thanks :)
What an amazing little guy you are Nibbler x)
Sorry to hear about the ups and downs, they do seem to do this after anaeas..... it really mucks them around.
Keep munching away and drinking little man xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hugs for you love i know how exhausting and the emotions you're going thru xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

He's still doing good and his weight is still going up.

The little pesky so & so pulled out one of his stitches last night/this morning so off to the vets we went this morning to get it tidied up. Totally panicked when I saw his tummy this morning looking all weird and fresh blood round the wound. It's fine now but going back for a check-up on Monday. He sure does like to keep me on my toes.

The little guy is still doing good, such a relief.

I've still got the divider in the cage but don't know when I should take it out? Any ideas? Just his brother is a bit of a pest to him at times.

Hi love, why don't you try some playtime with them together and see how it goes? :)
Wishing Nibbler all the best and i do hope their re intro's go well........you could look in here and see if this helps :)

Tried some playtime last night and it ended in disaster. They ended up going for each other, luckily I had a blanket to hand to separate them, otherwise it would have been a bloodbath :(

Just when I thought we were over the worst....Nibbler has chipped one of his top front teeth! Urgh :( I'd been away for a couple of days and my OH had been in charge of the piggies. Had him out to give him his meds and as per usual was giving him a good check over when I noticed that he'd chipped the tooth. Think he's slightly chipped the bottom one as well.

Does it ever end?!

Milo checked his tooth and it didn't affect him, so here's hoping it won't affect Nibbler.

Glad to hear he's still doing well! xx

Hopefully it doesn't have an effect. He's still eating fine which is reassuring but don't know if it'll have a long term effect. We're off to the vets for a check-up tomorrow anyways, so I'll get the vet to have a look. Oh the joys.

Nibbler is doing fine now.....his tooth is ok and he's healed up nicely. His weight is up as well.

However, it seems to be never ending as Fry is now ill! His weight has dropped a bit, he was still just over 1kg last night but I found blood in his cage last night and this morning. Hoping it's just a UTI and not a stone. Oh me, I could have cried when I saw the blood in his cage.

oh no, flipping heck, you got an appointment sorted? Hope hes ok x

Going to get a urine sample from him tonight and take it into the vets to get it tested. Going to start him on Septrin for a week, see how he gets on and if there's no improvement then I'm going to take him in for an x-ray to rule out stones. I've given him a good check over to make sure the blood didn't come from anywhere else and there's not a mark on him, so it must be when he is peeing.

Goodness your boys are certainly keeping you busy, fingers crossed for a UTI lesser of two evils! X

They sure are keeping me busy! I'd only just about recovered from Nibbler being ill and here we go again. Everything crossed it's just a UTI, like you said, lesser of two evils and less expensive to treat!
