He is not wheezy but is coughing up quite a bit of fluid. He wasn't doing it this morning but he is soaked now. Could something be stuck in his throat so he can't swallow? He is going to the vets in 15 mins. Can anyone give me any ideas other that URI before I go.

Ok panic over. He has stopped coughing. The vet thinks there was a blockage and he was being sick. The fluid was yellow with food bits in it. He has had some baytril and gut stimulant. His chest is clear and there is no obvious blockage now.

That's what I had heard but whatever it was it is to do with his digestion. He has just made a little cough noise after eating some celery but not been sick.

Poor little lad. Healing wheeks from my girls, I hope he is all better very soon. And also healing wheeks to poor Charlotte with her UTI, your piggies are in the wars at the minute.

That's great news, I'm just wondering if you should let his throat settle down after that coughing etc. could it be that he's going to be feeling a little rough maybe? Not sure have no experience here, as I say just a thought.

Good news he's ok though. Sending many many healing vibes.

Glad to hear that the problem has been solved and your boy is better again. Good to have him seen promptly!

The vet advised he keep eating but small amounts often, stop him from feeling sorry for himself and ending up with gut stasis. Mine usually have the celery chopped, Nico just had the leaves. He was apart from the girls for a while this evening and Tara started to pick on Charlotte who has a nasty UTI. She must have noticed Charlotte was weaker. The second I put Nico back with them he was the boss and Tara was submissive again even to Charlotte. It is so interesting to watch their behaviours. They have all come inside in the hospital cage, don't want any chill in the shed making them worse and I need to keep an eye on them.
