Frosty was not our pig and was only with us a week but in that time we completely fell in love with him and developed such a lovely bond.

He came to the clinic we help out at and it was clear that he was very poorly, he had dropped over 200g since the previous month and his teeth were very overgrown. He needed 24 hour syrninge feeding so my partner and I offered to look after him for a while as we could feed overnight where needed and he could take him to work for feeding too. Unfortunatley in the time he was with us it became clear that he was in end stage renal failure and his body was shutting down. He gained a small amount of weight and was able to eat a bit more by himself after 2 dentals but he was just getting weaker and weaker and was clearly in pain. His jaw was also completely out of alignment due to the way it had set when the front teeth were overgrown too. So on Tuesday we took little Frosty to be PTS (with his owners consent on course). Our local vet took one look at him and reassured us we had made the right decsion.

Sleep tight beautiful boy, am pleased you are no longer in pain, have fun at the bridge eating all of the food you want to and thank you for the cuddles and teethy licks you gave us in the last week.

Massive hugs to you, really sorry for your loss.

Sleep well little boy x

RIP Frosty

Ohhh hunny I'm so sorry to hear of Frostys passing, goodnight little one popcorn free over the bridge x

Thanks everyone, even though he wasn't with us long, we'll never forget him. I knew he was special when I was helping with his xray at clinic and he snuggled right into me.

I haven't put a photo on here as his owner is not a member. There are some on my Facebook but I tagged her each time I posted one so she knew I had done it.

Dear Helen whee are so very sorry to hear about little Frosty 8...8...8...

Another little star now twinkling in the sky ................... :(

Thank you Glynis, it seems a long time ago now since we lost Frosty, so much has happened since, we have been helping his owner with her pigs but unfortunately 2 more have had to be PTS as they were so poorly. The future is looking brighter for the rest of them though.
