Hi! I recently adopted a new guinea pig (Rocket) and I am noticing that he is not eating vegetables. He is eating plenty of pellets and hay and water, but he has not taken a liking to any of the vegetables I have provided. I have had him just under a week. Is this stress from moving and being in a cage with another piggie? Should I be concerned or doing something differently? Thank you!

It could depend on quite a few things. If he’s ever had veggies before or if he’s never been fed vegetables. Then it could just be that he isn’t used to them so you could just try to gradually introduce different veggies. Also, did you bond them before you housed them together? If you just put them in together straight away it could be stress as he’s in a new place, new surroundings, new scents and new piggies. Wait another week or so and keep trying to give him veggies, maybe he just needs slightly longer to settle in with everything.
