My Mimsi is the worst for bottom dragging and I found a small bit of carrot in his bum once. He is such a good boy when I check his bits. Poor boys. The indignity they have to go through!:(|)

did you seriously just say that?! thankfully i dont have to lol,although i have a darn lot of boys here including tony and the dogs,pigs ....16! and me the girly dogs,ava and rats only make it to 6! not sure why we have so many males lol:))

haha it must be a male thing! although he shouldnt cringe at me,he cleaned Boris out alot when he was impacted so i think he did the worse job!;)

here are the paper bags that were sent in my lovely package from TGPF members,Blade played in it and as he is a single boar i let my pairs have it and then put him in it big mistake!

confused Fred doesnt smell, am i doing it wrong or is he just a clean boy?
 
This thread made me laugh! Ive got two boys and haven't noticed any 'nasty' smells yet either, so i must have clean boys. Although Joey used to lie in his wee when i first had him but now he doesn't do it. Must have been Gizmo's example of a clean pig that made him changes his ways,as Gizmo is always cleaning himself and looks after his 'looks.' I think he could have been a sow!

Joey will let me check his bits and looks at me like to say 'What the heck you doing?' and he is so relaxed that he carries on eating the hay in his mouth whilst 'mummy' is checking all is good. Gizmo however says 'Get off mummy why are you poking and examining my bits!' but it has to be done! :)
 
When you have to properly check in that area, like not just take any hay poking out of it there's a horrible white secretion thing that's like a mucus. I was worried when I first came across it but I was reassured that it's a normal thing they produce. It actually makes me gag...
Hamish isn't bad at all, it's just Robin. I think he does most of the bum dragging because he's defending his spot more so than Hamish.

Maybe I just have one really smelly boy and one clean boy. But Robin does have a tendency to sit in the one area for long periods of time (like during the day when he's snoozing) and it's the same area where he likes to pee. It's not nice! But hell you try everything in your power to make sure they have enough places to sleep, they choose the weirdest places :))
 
My boys were always fine until they smelt girl, or were having a dominance issue that day. Or if they had floor time in a new area, it all had to be scent marked, and if they got over excited well, the smell was even worse. If I've had a girl out and then I get a boy out on the same jumper they excrete a horrid smell.

My Mum calls it 'horse pig' smell :)) I just hold me breath and change my jumper!

Hmm, I didn't see any white fluid, but Fred never scent marks maybe thats why and he seems to be very clean down there! I'm going to presume hes just clean! :)
