Coco my 6 month old female GP does not like it at all when i touch her tummy or rear end. She gets really annoyed and tries to bite me. Other than that she is eating ok and is healthy with her wee and poo. Do some GPs not like thier tummies or bums touching. She dont like me touching her back legs either. I just want to make sure she not got bad stomach ache.

Don't worry! Some piggies are very particular about where we touch them! I am sure she is fine, and there is nothing wrong. I am sure she would love a tickle behind the ears, mine love a tickle under the chin too!

I agree with lucky, I have never had a pig that enjoys being touched in those places so I assume not many (if any ) do. Best to stick to behind ears and under chin, back of head and lower back for strokes. tbh I'm not too keen on people playing trying to fondle my rear end so I'm completely with the piggys on this lol :D

Debbie, you are right, i would not want anyone to fondle my behind either...especially another woman...

Thanks for this advice....she is quite a grumpy pig anyway, but is loving when i hold her.

None of my piggies like their tummies being rubbed. I think they tolerate chin and ear rubs as they can see your hand but may panic a bit when they cant see your hand. Each piggie is different but if your piggie is telling you not to rub her tummy or rear end then maybe best to avoid. Sounds as though she enjoys her chin rubs though. Piggy blissx)

If you can have her thoroughly checked over by a good vet or rodentologist (there is one in Sheffield) to rule out conditions that can cause such intense dislike of handling in those areas - such as mites or mild bloat - then I'd feel safer saying you can assume it's nothing more than not liking being touched there. :)
