Hope I'm posting in the right thread- a few weeks ago we lost my favoritite gpig Roger- his brother Paddy went really downhill, stopped eating- we would get him out at night for playtime and all he would want to do is be cuddled-honestly have never seen anything like it in a guinea pig - he would stand in his indoor cage on top of the log house moaning until you stroked him and then rub the side of his face against your hand-just like a cat and then sit on your lap- fref snuggled up in a jumper for hours
Well we got a new baby boar last week 10 weeks old and am not sure how best to introduce them- they are in seperate cages at mo but meet up for a while eveyday. Paddy is really excited and Milo the litttle baby pig seems fine- loves climbing on Paddy's back and stealing the food from his mouth, but is it possible to leave them together for longer? Paddy needs a friend but Milo (baby pig) seems so tiny and fragile- is there an optimum age where it will work? P.S so far have had no rumbling or strutting - just whistles & squeaks plus lots of popcorning from both of them- good sign?
