So my guinea pig ,he will soon be one year old, is not using one of his front legs. I know for a fact it is not an infection because he was completely fine in the morning and when I came to give them food he trampled down my not so very steep ramp and then he started not using it. I took him out and i pressed against his front foot and he is not bothered what so ever. I can not take him to the vet because it’s Christmas so should I be worried about him eating?

Maybe take him out for short periods so he has some food to himself to give him chance to eat properly. Please switch to weighing daily instead of weekly as this will be the biggest indicator of his intake and get him to a vet asap

Wishes for your lil piggy❤

I will try to do the best I can until I Am able to see a vet

Update: I checked this morning and he is using both of his feet i am surprised that some metcam had quick results but of course he is not putting a lot of weight on the leg so that will take him time

Glad the metacam has helped but please do still see a vet as soon as you can, piggies naturally hide their injuries and will still sometimes limp around on a broken leg- we adopted a piggy who had broken her leg a few months before we brought her home and her previous owners hadnt had it treated, poor old girl had been limping about on a broken leg for weeks bless her and it healed all lumpy and twisted :(
