nothing but cherries

got a new lil piggy at the week/end and it refuses to eat anyting but cherries this cant be good for it as it cant be getting all the nutrients it needs can any1 help..he wont even eat his pellets..
 
What have you tried Pam?

Maybe there are other things that we can suggest that he might like?
 
cucumber? spring greens (hardly any though as not suitable for baby pig), tomato, apple, celery, different herbs, grapes, carrot, peppers,
 
Herbs are a good one. I have not found a piggy who doesn't like them and they are ususally a favourite: Parsley (in small quantities), coriander, mint, basil...
 
look at the shopping list in the food section :) rememeber to introduce new veg slowly :)

this might sound really cruel but just dont give him cherries and he'll soon be hungry enough to eat the pellets and other veg. xx

Carrots
Spinach
Lettuce (NOT iceburg)
Parsley
Corriander
Oregano
Tomatoes
Green beans
Celery
Cucmuber

i was thinking maybe the same
 
Try him with soft leaf greens and maybe kale. Shreded Carrot may help, does he have a problem with his teeth? This is what happened with my ill pig, he refusd to eat and then his teeth grew at the back, he couldn't eat hardly anything. Perhaps get the vet to check his teeth out and while he is not eating I'd supplement Vit C
