Following in from another thread - I have been wondering if its worth switching my small furries to Chine House (Sileby - Leicestershire). I use them for my horse but I didnt know about their excellent reputation for exotics. They already have most of my salery anyway at the moment due to my old expensive horse ;) so they might as well have the rest!

My only concern is that in an emergency it could take a long time to get there, especially with the current traffic problems in Nottingham. I have them registered at ChurchCroft in Beeston/Chilwell, simply because its walking distance from my house so if my husband has the car I could be there in 5 minutes with pigs in a carrier if necessary. Anyone got any other recommendations for closer vets or do you think distance is a good rationale for sticking with ChurchCroft?

thanks in advance :)

I go to Ashfield House in Long Eaton. They are pretty good, they castrated my old pig successfully, but aren't what i'd call specialist.

Alfreton Park vets be closer then Leicestershire and Ellie Whitehead is a very good piggy savvy vet, she loves them you can tell with how much of a fuss she makes. I wouldn't go anywhere else now :)
