I have a load of nyjer plants growing where seeds have been dropped from my bird feeder - they look quite yummy and I wondered if I could feed them to my piggies. Does anyone know? I believe the plan't proper name is Guizotia abyssinica. Thanks!

I’m afraid I honestly don’t know. But I would say if in doubt, don’t feed it to them.

I have googled and did searches..I am not an expert but it seems this plant is part of the asters family which could be poisonous to our cavy friends..So in my honest opinion I wouldn't risk it.
