I am in the process of trying to get Bruno to bulk up and am going to try some oats, can any one who feeds this just confirm these correct oats I should be using? And can they just be fed as is or should I soak them? I know oats are oats but I want to make sure I am doing this properly 😆

I give a couple of my more slender pigs plain rolled oats. I don't soak them. Mine love them.

Any plain oats will do as they are as a supplement treat for the frail or elderly that still eat on their own but are struggling with their weight.

Please make sure that grass hay still makes the bulk of the daily food intake. It is crucial for long term dental and gut health. Oats can't replace it. they are just a healthier option compared to other fatty/high sugar treats.

Thanks! I just got home and gave him a tea spoon full and he snaffled them so quick 😆 he's still got loads of hay available that he is munching but he's not eating the pellets as much and I'm trying not to give too much veg. His weight is increasing but slowly I'm don't want him to be hungry or get too weak to fight it.

Haha I have just offered him one and he declined! I think he's getting a complex about his weight! I still think if they were in with them he would give in and eat them! Like me and crisps! 😦
