Dear Guinea pig forum,
I have been using this site for well over a decade now and I just wanted to thank each and everyone of the wonderful staff, donators and kind piggie enthusiasts who’ve responded to me and other people queries on her for gosh knows how many years.
I’ve owned 8 piggies now and I cannot express how much this forum has made a difference to their lives, from Pablo losing the function of his back legs and you guys helping my find a proper exotic vet (Rob, who I’ve now been going to for years and have developed a wonderful friendship) and extended his life by 2+ years after being told he’d have to be put down at the end of the week. Or reading up about URI’s and calming my nerves about the dreaded hooting of a pig getting hay dust stuck in its nose.
I come here whenever I need help or reassurance and everyone on here is quick to respond and so helpful, the best part is there’s no fluffing, if the forum recognises your pet may be ill, it’s always, go to a vet immediately, not here’s some herbs and ooh have you tried xyz. That’s the kick up the behind you need sometimes to act instantly and save your pigs lives.
I haven’t been active on my account in a while, but trust me I’m lurking in the shadows and reading threads always.
I am infinitely grateful to this wonderful site and incredible community, I don’t know what I’d do without it. If anyone has any donate links or any ways I can help contribute please let me know!
Thank you again,
Susie
