hiya am a little exicted, I have arrange to see a lady who fosters out g/pigs for the RSCPA, am going on Friday.

2 sows, 1 year old and 3/4 years olddrool. I will be honest I was very tempted with some babies I saw advertised from a breeder but my heart and reading on here got the better of me so thankyou everyone.

So can any foster parents out there fill me in with what sort of things I can help to prepare for the visit, I am talking to her tomorrow over the phone (only had emails so far)

Many thanks, am a little excited:(|) I said it twice in this thread:red

Ive got no advice as Ive never fostered but just want to wish you good luck..

It is always good to ask on what kind of dry food/hay they are, what is their feeding pattern, what veg do they eat, as you want to copy that at first, so they only have to cope with the stress of a new home and not new food/feeding patterns right away. You could also ask if they have a special hide and whether they could come with it, if you provided another one - it makes settling in a lot more comfy!

Ask about their history, their characters and quirks.

Great advice about the special hide thank you so much, when my dog goes on his hols (always to a friends lol he is too soft for kennels:red) he takes his special bedding, so same thing!

Feel a bit more ready for the call with a few things wrote down to ask thanks again!
