I don't know why I keep checking adoption sites. I KNOW that my parents won't allow a third pig. But now I have found out about this poor pig my heart just aches for him ... I want to cuddle him, shower him with yummy veggies, give him a warm forever home.
He is 3 months old and was found abandoned in a soggy cardboard box in a field. :0

I don't know whether to "give up" on him or try to convince my parents to let me take him in. :(

It is always worth asking as long as you have the space and the finances to take on another, the worse they can say is no. My hubby said no more than two and now we have a huge herd and we foster!

A girl after my own heart!

If you have finances, room and time why not.

Wheeky how old are you? Could you bargain with them?

I recently convinced mine to let me have another...

It was easier than I thought :))... Good luck, if you don't ask you don't get :)).

I'm 18. But in the end it is their house, so I don't really have a leg to stand on.
I just tried to talk to my Mum about it but she gave the usual response ... "You don't need another one". It's not about me needing him though. It's about him needing me. :(

*Sad violin music*

My parents used to listen when I could show that I had done my research and gave them a balanced arguement about the pros and cons. Ask them to sit down and hear you through and not to give you a decision until they have talked it through and slept on it. That way they will see you are not just going on an emotional reaction alone but that you have thought the whole thing through.

Sometimes, animals do need us more than we need them. Your mum might not have considered this and have a different point of view. Perhaps she has valid arguments/concerns that are worth asking and talking to her about. Try to discuss it with her, let her know about the guinea, use evidence to support that you really could make a difference to it, it's important you get to make your point of view about why this guinea means so much to you. You clearly have your heart in the right place, and I hope it works out.
