I am finished tonight but I still have more sewing to do! :(

Sewed all day and cooked tea, checked homework, broke up a fight or two, and then tried to get daughter number one back to bed as she couldn't sleep due to being over excited about the furry girls coming home with us on Saturday!

Finished:

2 x hayloft bedspreads
3 x top level bedspreads (one not quite up to standard)
1 x ramp mat tester
1 and a half bottom level bedspreads
3 x neatened off inco pads after cutting "wings" off each end (to go under the fleece in the corrall)
4 x teency weency little fleece sleeve things to stop the hayracks scratching the perspex where they hook onto it.

Need to finish:
half a bottom level bedspread
2 x carrier fleece blankets for the journey home on Saturday :(|):(|):(|):(|)
6 x ramp mats
3 - 4 x curtains for cage bottom level to keep draught out at night (these are easy though)

That is it I think :{

You wouldn't believe I had worked all my days off for the last two weeks.

Can't wait to meet the piggies on Saturday!

OMG those piggies are going to be spoilt rotten. They are going to be like royalty in the piggie world. :)):)) Bet you can't wait for your furry friends. Don't worry if for the first few days they stay in a corner and don't explore. They will soon put on their hiking boots and explore their palace. :))

Never mind the piggies - I am moving into the palace - a diet of hay and veggies might do me some good!

Wait till you see phase two of the palace - we have plans.......

Pics will be taken on Saturday morning after I have finished picking tiny bits of fleece off the carpet! and all the bits are finished. I think Friday evening is realistic now.

Saturday is tidy up and chop veggies day!

We will be filling hay racks and water bottles and then a cage picture will be taken - before piggies and after!

I have heard that they are a very lively bunch so we should be in for lots of wheeking once they have settled in.

I have not been this excited since the first night of the National Lottery when i became convinced that my ticket would be a winner. Imagine my disappointment when I didn't get a single number!

It will be lovely to see the girls finally settled - it was November when I collected them (3 of them) from that dreadful dreadful house - it really was totally totally disgusting - they were in a terrible state and they have lived here with me, then with Becky in Penrith and now with Jane.

We all have a place in our hearts for them - especially little Berry who has also lived between the three of us ! Well travelled girls and I know we are all very happy they are coming to live with you.

Love Helen.

They are all gorgeous, but I love Morgan, the gorgeous black rex. She is a wonderful nose nuzzler! They all had a bath yesterday in honour of moving into their new palace. See you Saturday!. xx

First - thanks to you all for looking after our girls so well and helping them make a fresh start in life.

Also Hels - what is the story behind Morgan, Nettle and Chloe? - Becky PM'd their pictures and we fell in love x), the original idea was to get some babies to live with Berry but we just knew we had to offer the girls a home when we saw them (good thing she only sent 3 pictures! :(|).

My youngest said we had to get Nettle as she was so sweet and looked rather sad, and the other two were just adorable x)x) too.

I was surprised at how much we felt for them straight away. We looked at all the pictures that night and then I PM'd Becky to say we liked all of them, and wondered if they would get on with Berry. When they were introduced I was more nervous than when I sat my driving test last year!

Berry of course we saw on the Becklen website and first on here when she was rescued by Becky in Niovember, and we were amazed that she wasn't already reserved. When we saw her story on this forum we were so touched we kept going back to it, until we were ready to start the adoption ball rolling. We wanted Berry to find a home but we hoped it would be with us.
