My bonded guinea pigs are driving me mad,Chester the new boar wants to hump Gizmo's head, Gizmo keeps smelling Chesters bum, I don't think he's mounting him though.
All the time they are chattering loudly, not screaming just chattering. They are both chasing each other around. Maybe they are not bonded!
Save my sanity. What should I do.

I really wouldn't worry. I know that when Ellen comes in to season, she can be a nightmare and is constantly trying to mount poor Emma's head even though Edward is there ready and waiting for her.

Ellen is the dominant one out of my trio.

If there is no nastiness and / or obvious fighting taking place, I would just leave them to it x

To be honest it sounds pretty normal. I have two boars been together since birth they are now around 10 months old. Nibbles humps chewie constantly, he drives him into a corner and humps his head and chewie may squeal and give a warning nip but no blood has ever been shed. However chewie follows nibbles about and sniffs at his bottom a lot of the time so he clearly isn't that distressed by the humping or he would stay away. I have been told that it is the teenage years and it should settle down around the 14 month age.....but it may never change as boars will be boars. As long as no blood is shed then stick with it!

The other night Comet tried humping Blitzen's head. Blitzen's response was to move forward so Comet (metaphorically) fell flat on his face.

I've just temporarily separated them for a couple of hours and Comet's upset about this already. Blitzen's loving it, however - he's finally got some peace and quiet! Ah, boars.

Ha ha don't know where my sympathy lies, with blitzen or comet.

When in doubt, it's usually Comet's fault. :lol!: he's so lazy about humping that usually by the time he's started, Blitzen's long gone. They will constantly rumble at each other, and Comet has a habit of waggling his butt right in Blitzen's face, I can't blame B for wanting some peace and quiet!

You're in for an entertaining few months with Chester! You have my utmost sympathies lol.

Entertaining few months?! :yikes: Podrick is 3 and he's still a persistent humper, well more of a rumbler

If you can, put them in their run without any hideys to give them as much space as possible. At the worst, split them with interaction through the bars for a day or two until the hormone spike has died down again and then reintroduce on neutral ground - but if they can see it out together and there is no outright aggression or tussles, that would be much preferable.

I loved George's rumbling, miss it terribly now. He liked to rumble down the tunnel for extra loud echo effect!
