I couldnt believe it I put my guinea pigs in the shed at the weekend I have 3 boys and 3 adult girls the girls r all together and the boys where split 2 boys in 1 and the other on his own (C&C Cages) they can all see each other and they love it talking to each other and so on went down to the shed last night with the vegs and fresh water to find that oscar had managed to jump in with drake and josh 3 boys together and they arnt fighting I'm so shocked thought I would have had a blood bath on my hands, been down this morning torch in hand and they're all lying together they look soo sweet.

I didnt think guinea pigs could climb but oscar proved me wrong he didnt have anything he could climb on top ov either to do this as i just use snuggle blankets so they keep warm. :o :o :o

Hi Kath,

That's great. This is what I wanted to do with my boys have a split C&C sadly Twinkle was trying to bite Cuzzy through the bars so what I'm going to do next is get a proper indoor run and seperate them there so I can keep an eye on them and maybe we can get some bonding going on.

Looks like this is what has happened here, they have gotten used to one another and your little boys now like one another! That's really brill!

Take care,

Louise

A couple of my guineas have jumped out of boxes with high sides before. I didn't think they could jump until this happened. I use a plastic toy box to carry the guineas up the garden to thier run and one of my girls has twice jumped out of this box. Luckily the first time she did it was to try and jump up into her hutch which is about 3 feet off the ground. I caught her mid air! The second time she did it was when I was taking them to the run. She jumped out from about 3 foot up and landed on the grass. I now put a tea towel over the top of the box whenever she is in it. I hope your boys continue to get on. It would be lovely for them to stay together.
