Well it has been a few months since Rocky has cheilitis (probably around 3 months) and it's still not cured. We are on our way to Northampton to see Kim at Cat & Rabbit. Is it really that difficult to treat? It's not really bad at the moment but it got worse now, though very slowly. I think cleaning it everyday helped with it. Hopefully we can finally find a solution to this now. 🤞

I have no experience but wanted to wish rocky good luck and hope it clears up soon x

Good that you are seeing the Maddocks. Unfortunately it very much depends on the bug that has got into the lips. The worst forms are sadly uncurable. Fingers firmly crossed!
Guinea Lynx :: Cheilitis

Kim has prescribed a higher dose of Itrafungol, 0.7ml once a day for 4 weeks. She said that the Sporanox (Itraconazole for human) that was prescribed by another vet last month might not be enough dosage (0.3ml once a day for 2 weeks) and since it was a human drug, the concentration might be different. If nothing has changed in 4 weeks, she said we would start to combine another antibiotics. Hopefully it would do the trick. 🤞 Fortunately, Rocky has been completely normal in terms of eating and behaviour. 👍

All the best! I hope that higher levels of medication will do the trick!
