I have noticed yesterday and today on some of the tiles copper-ish/orange-ish coloured urine. Should i put my piggies of pee-watch and see which one is it, since i have 3?
It doesn't really look like blood to me.
I was wondering if it's normal (i.e. because of food) or if i should book a vet asap.

In the last 2 days they have been receiving raddichio, carrot tops, dandelion lettuce, yellow bell peppers, a little bit of pear (just yesterday), fennel, cos lettuce. Also, only Cupcake received yesterday some tiny pieces of dried red beet (as a treat for passing the health check).

Hi!

It does rather look like food discolouration to me and not like the intensively red phorphyrine coloured pees that characterise the onset of a UTI or cystitis.

I would keep an eye on your piggies over the next few days but would not worry too much.

Mine sometimes get discoloured wee when they’ve had carrot. I’d just watch out for any hunching up, squeaking or closing of the eyes in pain when they pee. That could indicate there’s a problem.
