Hello

Is the wee coming out orange or turning orange? If it is coming out a reddy colour then I would suggest vets as it could be a uti or bladder stone causing blood in the urine.

If it is coming out clear/cloudy and then turning an orange/rust colour then it is probably down to the food. Wee can often contain iron compounds from their foodstuff. When it is left to dry the iron compounds react with the oxygen in the air and turn into a type of iron known as iron (III). This is the same type of iron that is in rust and gives rust it's distinctive orange colour.

If this is the case then it is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about although a little shocking the first time you see it. If you are at all concerned go to the vets and they can test the wee for blood. You can take a sample with you.

Hope this helps

I'm almost positive it is drying that colour, I think it must be the new food they've started having. It's quite noticeable on the white fitch bedding, the first time I saw it I freaked out! Thanks for the advice :)
