Oreo and Cookie

Hi all well we picked up our 2 girlfriends for our 2 boys spike and patches and collected them on saturday, we have been really busy since but thought we would tell you all, everything is going well and all spike wants to do is cuddle, he is with cookie and patches is with oreo because the size of oreo at 6 weeks old is almost as big as patches she is a very big girl, and cookie was the littl'un of the litter so she goes well with spike our smaller boy. so here is a pic you cant see much of them because they love their snuggle sacs which we have just had, but we thought it was adorable, and spike in the background trying to make friends.

yes they are there is a thread somewhere we bought 2 boys in June/July (feels like we have had them forever) and in August/september they hit hormaonal we kept an eye on them but one day we came home to a rolling ball of fur and they wouldnt be introduced again so we had them neutered in september and next to each other in different cages, but they seem so much happier now they have company again.

We were terified when we brought them home as when we had our original boys we were never told about the hormonal problems that could occur and never found it in research until we already had them, but there is still some rumbling and mounting going on from patches but oreo shall we say is very strong headed so isnt taking any of it, how long will it take usually to settle down, it is so great to see the boys happier again with company and we wouldnt have thought about it without this forum, so big thank you to everyone!

I give any new guinea pig about two weeks to get the hang of their new surroundings and life; to settle in fully will take longer.

Oreo will bond better after she's been in season next time - expect some fireworks!
