I nearly passed out when I got my credit card bill yesterday but then when I looked through I realised why ....

and on it went! :red It was bad enough last month! Think I need to be a bit more prudent this month ....scoots off to order her new 10 bales of hay from DFHC.....
 
Oh dear! I have set myself a monthly toy budget so that I don't get too carried away. Mind you I have realised that our weekly fruit and veg box is pretty much exclusively theirs!
 
haha I spend about £7 a week on veg for the girls......so about £30 a month....then I buy museli and nuggers which comes to £10, so its only bout £40 a month and thats in winter.....I dont give them veg in winter.
 
You all speak such pearls of wisdom! LOL! Now I know what to do next time (and then probably find I am overdrawn!). I keep telling myself it is only 'set up costs' ... and then add to it!

Unfortuntely, due to that ghastly word 'circumstances' I ended up taking a huge pay cut a year ago .... just under a third :... so I have to be so much more careful. Previously I always had a bit to spare but now it is quite difficult. OH's job is also facing a pay cut .... due to government spin although not quite as steep as mine. Good job my idea of a cracking weekend is being out and about with all the menagerie!

We eat huge amounts of veg in this houshold but I am sure that between the rabbits, guinea pigs and chooks my veg bill is approximately 4 times what it would be if it was just the 2 of us!
