BroadOaksPigs

Ok..so at work we can only have the pigs out on the grass wen someone is out there with them main reason...CATS....so they only get about 20 mins twice a day, i was thinkin now that the weather is gettin way better it wud be better for them to be outside on the grass a bit longer so I'm thinking of tellin the home to provide them with a run with a lid so the cats cant get to them then they can be out there unsuperviosed...residents cant get in unles with staff as its a padlocked encloser but i was wondering 1, is this a good idea and 2 if so wot run wud be best for them!
Thanks
Lou x

Hiya as long as its covered i cant see it being a problem and they are secure

I leave mine out for an hour or so and just keep popping out to check on them and they are fine

because i dont have a big enough run for 8, until i can afford to by more, i lock all my cats inside, and pay my full attention to the guineas, i use things around my garage to keep them in, and keep the old run there so they can run in if they get scared.

IF i ever got a pair of piggies i would be out there at all times with them but if i wasnt there then my cat would be shut in, even though i know shes scared of wire mesh and the other day she tried to attack another cat who came near to my room, i think she was trying to protect the chinchillas, but as everyone else has said i think there wont be a problem if it was properly done

When my piggies are in the run there is always one of us watching them. Today however they were in the run and a cat sat watching them I had my back to the run my daughter spotted it. Cats are the least of my worries because my main worry is foxes where I am. Blatant they are one day the shed door was open next thing I am running out the back door with a broom because a fox was about to enter the shed cheeky thing stood looking at me from the bottom of my garden.
