Weather has been really nice today so decided to get the piggies out in the garden while doing some gardening :D Haven't made their run yet so just used the lids from the cages. Buttons and Sam decided to try and dig holes. They were acting crazy. Pulled up big piles of moss 98)

Under the umberella :D

And the bit of garden where Sooty and Brandy are burried. Been busy getting rid of all the weeds and planting all weekend. Will be more flowers once the seeds come up and the plants spread. RIP 0:)

My piggies are out and about today as well - first time this year and they're loving it! For Snowdrop and Chuzzel it's their first time on grass - took to it like ducks to water!

Love your photos. How cute are Holly and Molly :smitten:. How do you get your photos online?

Is moss okay for guinea pigs? I have tons of the stuff in my lawn (more moss that grass in places ;)) but I tend to put them in the areas where it is mainly grass. However, I've noticed the areas that they graze on seem to stay moss free. If they're okay with it then I might consider moving them around a bit more - could be an environmentally sound way to get rid of moss and keep the grass short! Go piggie power O0

Many thanks for the heads-up, Aya! I'll keep them to the grassy bits! O0

gorgeous piggies

Fugly went out for first time this year same as you with cage lid for run, he sat in one spot until he had munched all the grass and then moved onto the next, it took him a while to realise that he was never going to win the pulling it up by the root contest and to just eat the top bits 98) 98)

Hi, nice pics.

Sorry, but i wouldnt use the plastic lids. They would make the enclosure very very hot, even though its in shade and has a mesh roof

i used to do that with Xavier... but then got a wire cage thing...now i've got 2 guinea pigs i have 2 cage things from tescos at £4! and i got another run from a guinea pig rescue place near me.
