Hi!
I would really like to let my guinea pigs have some play time in an outdoor enclosure on the lawn but i have 2 dogs and they use the bathroom there...do you think that even if the feces are picked up and the grass is hosed down that the pigs could get sick?:hmm:

You shouldnt put pigs on grass which has been used as a toilet.

if you have enough space on a hard surface you could put them onto that so they get fresh air. then you could always grow them their own grass in a pot or seed tray I have done this before and put the tray into cage or run for them to nibble on. When they have "mowed" it take it away and leave it to grow back then give it them back.

I gave also grown birdseeds in past too they go down well.

Echo what @Briony_Y has said. Piggies need to be on clean grass with no pollutants , pesticides or weed killers, away from areas used as a toilet by domestic pets such as cats or dogs and also wild pets such as foxes. Also if you do have such a lawn you need to make sure it hasn't got grass clippings on it as cut grass starts to mulch down and ferment really quickly.
