I have one and it's tiny and I want another but not sure what size either..I guess the bigger the better, like with cages?

I think, like cages, the bigger the better. I got my runs from ebay (not into DIY) - they are 6ft by 4ft and I only have two piggys in each.

I was looking on ebay a month ago but didn't find this one - would probably have gone for something like it. The one I got is 4ftx3ft for two piggies and is covered at one end on the side as well as the top - seems to give good shade - and cost a lot more £. Remember to allow space for any tunnels and hidey houses for them.

i make mine out of c and c cubes but i would have thought with 9 piggies, as big as you can possibly make it would be the best. I've got 2 pairs and they have about 6ft by 6ft each but of course it depends also on the size of your garden!

I'm looking at a galvanized one atm which is 7 ft by 4ft and thats for 5 piggies, id go for the biggest you can make..

I brought a 6ft X 3ft last night on Ebay was not the one you have shown though. Mine is for three piggies spoilt that they are ;D go for one as big as you can Devill cavies website has run plans that we was going to do untill I went and brought one.

i'm measuring how much area i have in the space in my garden, is it best for the piggies to play on the grass and their hutch be on the patio bit or the run on the patio bit and the hutch on the grass bit

I think its best for the piggies to be on the grass bit but I'm a learner at the moment.

My run is 6ft by 6ft, Well nearly, its more rectangle than square.

If i got a pair of piggies the run would be 8ft by 6ft!

I thought the area looked quite small so i got my tape measurer out and measured the area, its 9ft by 7ft BUT the edges of it arent very good so i would have it 8 by 6

They are worth it though

btw you asked about them being on gras..yes it the answer..you can give them an hour at the end of the day on the concrete to wear their nails down a bit.

Okay how would you go about making a run, part of it covered?
