Could anyone please recommend an outdoor guinea pig run, it's for 2 large boars.

Thank you

I have the one below which has lasted well.
6ft Folding Canterbury Guinea Pig Run | Easy Storage
Hi
I have been looking at outdoor runs but lots seem to have bad reviews as folk are saying lots are poorly made
The Canterbury one above in reviews says it doesn't fold if the lid is secured, I would definitely need a lid due to cats and occasional fox and would need to be secured, any suggestions?
I want one with opening top so I don't need to kneel to get the piggies out

I have the Canterbury - I really like it.
When the lid is on, it is screwed in various places in the middle. The lid does lift to enable access, but the run itself will not fold up for storage with the lid screwed on. I therefore unfold the run and screw the lid on at the beginning of the season and leave it out all summer. I then remove the screws and lid at the end of the summer and fold it away for storing over winter.

OK thanks, that makes sense. Do you find the access using the lid works Ok?
One of mine is averse to running into a tunnel to get picked up so just thinking of easy ways to retrieve them when going back indoors

Usually they walk into a carrier to go out to the run but getting them in is harder as they don’t usually want to come in!
None of mine like being caught so I have a couple of c&c grids cable tied together to create a wall. I shimmy the piggies down one end and use the grid wall to trap them in a corner, pick them up and pop them in a box.

Yes that sounds like a good plan!
So you are happy with the quality of the Canterbury run as it is well made and had lasted well?

It’s also good to use tent pegs to anchor the run on the lawn - I’ve used a Canterbury run and it’s well made

I’m happy with it. It has lasted a few years, not as sturdy as some others you can buy, but as I store in the shed over winter it has probably done better than if it was outside all year

Yes with the increasingly wet weather not a good idea to leave out all winter, sounds as if others are happy with this brand. Reviews are strange as some I have looked at for other makes say they are fab and others say it fell apart straight away!
