Sorry for the long post!

Just wondered if anyone could help here.....I have a house piggie (the lovely winston) who has an extension on his indoor hutch, so he gets plenty of exercise every day.
During the summer we will be looking after friends 2 piggies and they are outside in a hutch and will be out in the garden in a run. Last time we looked after them it was Feb and cold, so I put their run in the conservatory for them.

But hopefully in August the weather will be better ;D and they can go in the run outside, but we regularly look after my parents' dog and o/h's parents' dog...therefore they go to the loo on the garden whilst staying with us ....... just wondered how long (if at all) after the dog has been to the loo on the lawn can the pigs go on the lawn?
Or would it be better to cordon off a section of the lawn "keep off...piggies only!" ;)

Never come across this problem before as my lot are house pigs and buns.
THanks for any advice!

Thanks guys! I thought as much, but just wanted reassurance :)

I had never thought of this before until my friends mentioned looking after the piggies again in the summer!

......goes off to make "keep off ..... piggies only!"

I was wondering that too as my 2 girls are going to their gran/grandpa's for a wee summer holiday and my brother often has his dogs in their garden. The girls don't get outside when they're at mine so my Dad thought it would be nice for them to make the most of their garden whilst they were up there.

Hiya we have 4 dogs, so we put the runs against the hedge and then put new turf in each one, left it for a few weeks to settle and now the pigs have lovely fresh grass.

i have 3 dogs and my girls run gets moved quite a lot to let them have longer grass and although the dogs have been toilet on the grass, its not harmed them, we always pick up the poo and we dont put the run where there have beem recemty poos but my girls have been fine on the grass!

xx

Thanks guys for all the ideas!
