Have just splashed out on these two products - they look and smell lovely, like tea :) At the moment we have started on the Orchard Grass and the boys all LOVE it, but I do worry that it may be too rich compared to the 'usual' (Canac branded) hay we have bought before. Anyone have any opinions? At the moment we are putting a small handful of the Orchard Grass in next to the cheaper hay - they are clearing the expensive stuff and only using the cheaper one when the other has gone ::)

Typical - I have piggies with expensive tastes ;D

Mine love it too. They only have it for treats now because it was getting stupidly expensive!

Try mixing it in with your cheaper hay - I do this with mine and it encourages them to eat it all.

You can give them as much as they care to eat. The orchard grass and timmy hay are both really high in fibre and very good for them 8)

I'm not sure if it would be that rich compared to normal hay. I'd say just mix it with the other hay (like beaney said) and maybe watch out for abnormal poop!

I think they'd like it mixed, they can forage round to find it & keep them amused ~_^

Hi, thanks for the replies.

I haven't noticed it being abnormal, just darker, almost black. I like the idea of mixing it and letting them work to find it ;D
