Does anyone use these hay based vitamin c cookie like treats?

I wondered if it might be good for the pigs to have something to much on when weighed and when I start to introduce mild handling (seeing If they like this Or not. Would need to make sure each pig ate one and no one took the others. Right now veg is out into w few piles lm sure one is eating more than the others but I know all of them eat veg as have seen them each making lettuce leaves disappear

some videos show different ways of vit c to a guinea. From a phial and syringe feeding a bit to each pig every day to using other snacks.
A bag of these is around £14 on Amazon. I expect scurvy is unlikely with unlimited hay and being in the pellets, but are these oxbow hay based vitamin c things good for overall diet?

There is no need for these kind of things to be included - supplementary vit c isn’t necessary if piggies otherwise have a healthy, balanced diet.. They get all the vit c they need as it is in hay, (grass when they can get some), veg and pellets. Yes perhaps one is getting more than the others, but that doesn’t mean anybody is missing out. Ensure you give a good variety of vit c rich veg such as bell peppers, coriander. Lettuce doesn’t contain much vit c.

I just use some nice herbs as bribery when I want them to stay still for weighing.

I GIVE MY PIGS EACH ONE OF THESE VITAMIN C OXBOW TREATS EVERY MORNING ALTHOUGH THEY GET VEGGIES NIGHTLY I LIKE DOING THIS EVERY MORNING WHILE I FILL UP THERE PELLET BOWL . THEY ARE VERY USED TO THIS TREAT NOW AND WILL WAIT FOR ME IN THE MORNING .

@PSP3 you shouldn’t be filling the pellet bowl. They only need one tablespoon per piggy per day. Pellets are the junk food of the piggy world and only make up 5% of their diet. Hay and more hay!

I give my critters the cookies. They love them. Both of my pairs of boys have come from bad backgrounds, so they got them twice a day. Once my first set got better (one pig came with scurvy) we went down to one a day. Where I am in the USA at least, the only vitamin c options are the Oxbow cookies, or the drops to put in water (not recommended).

Since my piggies love their bell pepper they really don't need the cookies. I do buy them as a safe treat for the kids to give to the guinea pigs. My two year old has sensory issues and doesn't like touching certain things but enjoys feeding them to the piggies since he loves to see them get excited.

I gave my boys their first pepper serving today. (Green) they seemed to love it as it didn’t last long. Didn’t give too much to start to see it goes ok with their digestion. Just want to keep an ensured amount of vit c

they only need a small slice of pepper anyway. As mentioned, hay contains Vit c as well as their one tablespoon of pellets. They will be getting enough, you don’t need to worry.
Overdoing vit c causes its own problems as when the amount drops below the higher amounts which the body becomes accustomed to, then that in itself can cause scurvy. So follow the diet guides for recommended daily feeding ans they will get all they need

ummm who said I don't give them hay? and actaully I do need to fill their pellet bowl. Every single morning. They each get one tablespoon per piggy per day in the morning ............. with their oxbow treat .... then I fill up their litter box full of new hay in the morning. No where in my post did I say I give them more than one tablespoon. OR that I don't give them hay....

I didn’t say you don’t give them hay either. And if you say you fill up their pellet bowl that is what i sounds like, not that you give one tablespoon.
