Saffy is kind of making a little squeaky noise when pooping, she lifts her but up. Her poops are normal, she is eating and drinking. I'm thinking maybe bladder stones?

That's a possibility unfortunately, but it could also be a UTI. Although they come through different pipework pooping can sometimes can irritation in the urinary tract. Weird eh?! My boar would had a few UTI's always squeaked when pooping first.

How does her pee look, any white deposits?

Her pee seems to be ok. Gonna ring the vet when they open at 10.

Pain when pooping is most often connected with a urinary tract or sometimes a reproductive tract issue in sows. At this time of the year, it is more likely a UTI with the big temperature swings.

All the best. You have likely caught it very early, and your vet may not be able to diagnose it yet, especially if not every pee necessarily contains blood.

I was thinking of asking the vet for cystease along with pin killers and any abx he feels necessary.

We've had 2 boys with similar in last couple of months. Luckily it was a water infection in both cases treated with antibiotics after vet trip x

my boar Lewis had an UTI,squeaking when weeing. He is on triemethoprin,he had xrays at same time to rule out bladder stones.no stones, after two weeks he is clear of the UTI.I syringed 15mls of water via a iml syringe after giving antibiotics to flush the bladder twice aday.x

Were they squeaking on weeing or pooping. She seems fine when having a wee but squeaks when pooping, raising her but up.

Not good news from the vet. Saffy has a hard lump on left underneath. The vet had me feel kind of at either side of her underside near her but, the right side was nice and soft but on the left there is a pea sized lump. She has given me logical anti inflammatory pain relief to try but seems to think she will need an x ray/sample taking? I have to keep a check on it and take her back weds, sooner if it grows in size.

@karenben Try not to worry, a lump doesn't always mean it's bad news.

My Jon has a lump on his underneath, between his front legs. It's been there for at least a year and it hasn't changed at all.

I would imagine the vet will try to take a sample of it on Wednesday with a needle to see what it is. It could be a cyst, or harmless tumour, or just a fatty deposit.

Sample was clear liquid....cyst and the vet didn't think this was causing the problem. Saffy is going in today for X-ray.

Sending your little one lots of love x

Now then, can guinea pigs get colitis? The x ray has not shown anything but they noticed that she had done slimy poop with a little blood and they seem to think it could be colitis but unsure as to the blood may have been in urine. They are treating her with abx and she goes back on Sunday, if no better then they have mentioned steroids. When I got her out of carry case there was a jelly like pink blob, probably a poop size. Any thoughts anyone.

Today Saffy seems perkier, wheeked as if I was murdering her when giving the second abx. Fingers crossed.
