Hi,
My three boars love to hide, sleep and play under hand towels I chance them along with the rest of their bedding every few days, but when I spot clean during the day I check they are not wet if so I remove them and add clean ones.
Over the last few days Ive noticed light brown stains on the towels I was wondering if this was due to a chance in their urine now they are older and finished treatment etc. all three eat well (veg and unlimited hay) they have clean fresh water changed at least once a day.
Their poop is 100% normal looking there is always tons of it when I spot clean (morning, midday and evening) I haven't changed their diet or tried new veg recently? I've checked their bums they are all clean, Oreo has a tiny bit of this staining on his side this could be from the wet towel may be. They all seem fine I've touched their tummies and they don't mind me doing this.
Any ideas what this could be? Could they have watery stools and hard stools. Maybe one of them have eaten a leaf or flower that not good for them that's has landed in their run. I'm trying to think of and list anything to make things a bit clearer :) I just hope they are not poorly again :soz:
Many thanks Kell.

Don't panic! Some veg stain pee; it also oxidises when it dries.

Blood in the urine usually shows either as a reddish spot in the middle of a pee patch or as a reddish ring of a different shade around the rim of the patch, depending on how much is in it.

image.webp I'm thinking this is watery poop :( we may of over done the veggies over the last few days eg cucumber coriander and parsley. I'm going to stick to one bowl of spring greens which I know they are ok with for the next few days to see if that helps. Is there any other plain simple veg they can eat?
Thank you

Just seen your reply wiebke thank you. No signs of blood (thankfully) I've taken a photo of what I was waffling on about :) I will stop worrying now then feeewwww lol.

That looks just like some oxidised pee with probably a bit of natural food dye thrown in. Nothing to worry about! My dirty towels under the fleece look like that on cleaning day. :)

Agree with Wiebke, it looks like normal dried wee colour on towels to me

My piggie towels look like that too. (I put towels under their hidey box for them as they pee here loads.)

Few panic over :) it's odd that I've never seen this until this week though. @Wiebke yet again a massive thank you for your helpful and reassuring replies we would be very lost with out you.

Thank you for all the other replies too your all lovely
Kell x
