IMG_1872.webp I read various posts on the site about the popularity of parsley with GP's. I didn't really believe it until I bought some for Freddie. We call it the disappearing parsley trick. He goes crazy for it and will call out for more. He's usually a big placid piggie. His house mate Hollie won't touch it.

Yup! My two both have arguments over parsley every time they have it lol. Just don't feed it daily, coriander/cilantro is a better option for daily feeding. Parsley should be limited to once or twice a week.

Mine do the disappearing Parsley trick to. Have tried coriander and they wouldn't touch it. @Freddy & Holly have you tried blueberries? or a bit of apple but no pips? Mine lot go crazy for both! Melon skin is also a great hit! Remember not to feed fruit too often it should just be an occasional treat.

I've tried blueberry but they wouldn't touch them. Apple or banana as a treat. Is parsley not good for them?

Your shouldn't give them to much, I think it is high in calcium. I always give mine 2 stalks at cuddle time. I don't think you should give it to them daily. Like you say they love it, so I do let them have there daily treat.

My pigs got an "organic herb salad" from the farmer's market today, with Swiss chard and baby gem lettuce and all kinds of good stuff.. Corduroy found a single piece of parsley, snatched it away to his hidey so his brother couldn't have any, ate it faster than should be possible, and then did a celebratory lap of popcorn jumps all around the cage :xd: it's his absolute favorite thing in the whole world, and he literally jumps for joy every time he has some.

My two loooove parsley but they don’t get it often because I read it is high in calcium. They might get a little twice a month for a couple of days. Sometimes they will get dill or basil instead. I always hand feed the herbs so they both get equal amounts otherwise there is fighting over it lol.
