Parsnip - looks like a bladder stone

Parsnip has gone tonight, I got in from work tonight having already spoken to the vets to say I'd most likely be going tonight. As soon as I got in I knew it was the right things to do, Parsnip had a cuddle and a drink and a tiny bit of grass then we walked to the vets - I took Melvin too as I always have done. Parsnip was not a well guinea pig, his health was slipping by the day and I would not want an animal to suffer.

Saw another of the vets there who I knew from my Leo rabbit days. She read his notes and examined Parsnip and listened to me about Parsnip and his health.
We could feel the stone - maybe due to the weight loss.

Parsnip was ready, I could tell, I just hope Melvin has accepted it or will accept it.

I have to say I was totally clear in my mind that this was the right thing to do - and I feel it was the only option and the right one for Parsnip.

Very sad situation but he's at peace now x

Xxxxxxx sad time but also he is not in any discomfort anymore xxxxxxX

You are very brave Alison. So sorry you had to let him go. He was a very special boy. Lots of love to you and Melvin x

RIP Parsnip
