Piglet is feeling under the weather he's quieter than usuall and doesnt have his normal bouncy personality. we're gonna bring him inside keep him warm and go to the vets. If its not mean to keep him alive then i'll treat him in whatever way necessarry but i cant help feeling that if he gets worse then he could be telling me its time to go. i'll keep him alive if its not but i have these doubts that I'm doing it for us :(

HUGS!

Piglet will tell you when the time is right. But is such a harrowing time right now. Sending him my love!

Sorry to hear this. Sending healing vibes to piglet. Let us know how you get on at the vets. x

Aww poor little piglet. Hope he feels better soon, sending healing vibes his way!

he seems a bit chirpier this evening he has lost about 1/8 pound in 5 days. he is crying when you go in the garden but the vets said he doesnt have an infection
so i think its a case of make him comfortable and play the waiting game

dental symptoms

dispite being told he is okay he wont eat his pellets he picks them up and then puts them down again. he can eat his veggies fine celery carrot apples, hay etc.. the front ones look okay bit sharp but okay the back ones dont feel any different to the other pigs. he didn't look impressed at being given pellet mush this morning i dont know what to do with him there is a 30% chance of him surviving a dental based on his history

he is eating mash out of a bowl and veg off the hutch floor he wont let you hand feed he prefers to do it himself weighed him today and in about 5 days hes gone from 2.25lbs just over a kilo to 2.05lbs under a kilo

It's just not fair..... :(
Keep him warm and let him have whatever he'll manage to eat
Paws, claws and fingers crossed for you both XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

he is also showing a head tilt:(, he is now eating his mush :)

Aw! Hum, well the vets might of said no infection, but I know it is hard to diagnose inner ear infections in piggies. If he has an ear infection (it sounds like to me) it could make him not very cheerful and reserved. I don't know if the vet already looked into that already (a good close look at ear, etc), but it could be what is causing the poor pig grief perhaps if not.

How old is he?

Aww no! I'm sorry to hear he's not well :(. Many healing vibes being sent your way...

piglet was put to rest today (29-9-11) it was obvious that he was beyond helping and any tooth operations he wouldn't of survived :( have posted a tribute in rainbow bridge
