Hi,
I really hope I'm not going against any rules here, I just need some advice. :)

I have two Guinea Pigs. One had a urinal infection a couple of weeks ago, he started peeing blood, being listless, hiding and just not being himself. Luckily, I was able to spot who had it and took him straight to the vets, who gave me his meds and within 2 weeks, he was healthy. I was so relieved!

However, I noticed some blood in their bedding two nights ago but I did not know who it was. Then I saw it was on a red part of newspaper so I just thought it was the ink going weird because of their wee. Yesterday, though, when I was at college, my mum let them out into their run and there was a bit of blood in their bedding and all around in the run. I got home and watched them to see who it was so I can call the vet. But, strangely, I watched both guinea pigs pee and both was clear, normal and no blood in sight. Same for today, clear, no blood in cage or run. Lots of wee patches like normal and no blood at all...Strange.

Are they okay? I am watching them but they are acting normal, jumping around when they see me, probably hoping for food! :p What do you think?

Thank you.

Hi! It can either be a return of the urinary tract infection or a sign of a bladder stone. it would be good if you saw the vet again and requested an x-ray, preferably a conscious one or one under only very light sedation. This is the next logical step if you are confronted with persisting bleeding issues.
We have got a piggy savvy UK vets locator on the top bar if you wish to make use of that.
