I am currently feeding P@H guinea pig pellets, but see a lot of people on here recomending museli type foods. I know they aren't good for rabbits as they pick the bits they prefer, is it the same with guinea pigs? Am I best sticking to pellets?

Well I'm on gerty guinea pig and they do selective feed - though mine don't tend to leave any of it really. I am on gerty as Ive used it for years and some other feeds I cant afford currently as I am on an apprenticeship and have a poor wage.

I did get a free sample of science selective last week and I am putting a little with their foods and they do seem to like it so that may be something I will consider changing too next year :)

To be honest I am not sure what is best to feed them.
I stuck with the same food as what the rescue centre was feeding my piggy before I got him but I also give him something else too.
The first one though my guinea doesnt eat the green and orange bits which are in it lol.
I will be watching this thread closely now to see what other food people recommend. x

Here are the two things I feed mine:

Excel is a good feed! Good vitamin C levels

If you are also unsure there are some marked topics at the top of the food page with different member reviews of different guinea pig foods.

hi it is better to feed a nugget unless your piggies dont selective feed. i feed all my piggies on nuggets and they're quite happy with them :)
