AKA Lady Penelope took her last trip to the vet last Friday. She'd been making a noise in her breathing for weeks, it was her nose rather than in her lungs. We tried nebulising with F10 for a month, no difference. Then it was a week of Metacam to see if it was chronic inflammation, quieter but still a noise. The vet said she might have a tumour and they could investigate but as there wouldn't be much they could do about it, I didn't think there was much point in taking her in to be anaesthetised & scoped.
Last week she stopped socialising with the others, and couldn't seem to eat very much. Her eye on one side looked wrong, it was being pushed outwards, by the tumour I expect. So she was pts. It all went very peacefully and she was well asleep from the sedative when the final injection went in.
She was quite a chatty pig so it's all a bit quiet in the Piggy Palace atm. The other two are still eating well, thankfully.
