As per title, off to vets tomorrow after work. Said lump wasn't there 2 weeks ago when I gave him a full once over during this time I've been away and the trusty OH has been looking after them and he missed it, currently bigger than a baked but smaller than a broad bean. No grudge against OH, lump cant be seen and can only be felt with a thorough going over, its a hardish lump that appears painless. Shall wait and see what the vet makes of it :-) Wish my lovely lad a lot of luck please x

Oh no sorry to hear this. I had this recently and peter turned out just to have fatty lumps. They dont cause him any pain so fingers crossed you get the best news possible. Whatever it is it sounds like you've caught it early.

He's at the vets today, dropped him this morning and will pick him up after work ... send him wheeks and popcorns please x

Best of luck to Peppa xx

Lots of good vibes sent from my gang, I hope it's something easily sorted. xx

I'm hoping so, rough time with the pets this year ... the downside of older animals sadly :-( Cant lose my Peppa too hes my grumpy fat old guy who huffs and bosses his huspig around something chronic :-)

Oh, I hope he's OK, Please let us know as soon as you find out. Did you get the pm from Toffeewoffee?

That's great, has he had the lump removed or just an exploratory?

removed :-) I didnt speak to the vet on the phone but I shall be back with full details later :-)

That sounds good. Just a little loving care needed now.

Peppa is home and he's lively and tucked into his spinach pile (rare treat is a pile) and also some pepper, ate tonnes of pellets at the vets as well as hay so I reckon he's feeling just about ok. He's on metacam and baytril for now :)

It's good to hear he's got an appetite. If he's eating well that will aid his recovery much more. Get well soon Peppa. xx

Peppa opened his wound up on Saturday so it got glued and he opened his wound again yesterday and hes back in to be stapled this time ... silly sausage!

Is there anyway it can be covered. We had some success with Minky by using a tubular leg bandage round her body with 2 holes cut for legs. Sue stitched tubular finger bandage to this so her legs popped through enabling the bandage to stay on for a while at least. The operation wound is probably itching, ask your vet if you could rub some Kamillosan Ointment on to it. It contains Chamomile Extract & has a soothing effect lessening the irritation. You can get this from a chemist for about £5.

Peppa was back at the vets on tuesday to be stapled, the staples are holding but he now has an upset tummy. He was back at the vets last night and is back again in a few days to see how he is doing.

He's not having a good time of it lately. Hope he gets well soon. xx

Sorry not been around much. Peppa is doing a lot better and has normal (ish) poos rather than liquid which is fantastic still got some way to go bless him.

I'm glad to hear that. Hopefully he'll be back to normal soon.

Were you still interested in piggy dating with one of the 4 foster piggies I've got here. The reason I'm asking is because they're going back to the rescue at Richmond a week tomorrow. If you wanted to try one over the weekend, you're welcome.
