Hi,
Normally we feed out guinea pigs bell peppers and sometimes sweet pepper, and they eat them fine (after taking all the seeds out and washing them) but we bought some new ones today, granted its my own fault for not reading the packet properly until now, but would these ones be safe for guines pigs? (Picture should hopefully be attached, if its not theyre called warm and fruity mixed peppers from Asda) if not that's fine too i can use them to make some pasta or something.

Please don’t feed those to your piggies, from looking at your picture it says they are chillies and not peppers.

An absolute no.
These are highly dangerous, and will make your piggies very ill indeed.
If you aren't going to use them for the humans in the house then please throw them away.

Oki thats fine...thank you for your quick replies...none have been fed to them yet...I just noticed the pack when I went to get them one...they had a bit of apple instead... the back of the pack isn't very informative on if they're meant to be spicy or not...ill just use them myself instead...nothing wrong with some spicy chicken pasta...

I believe the spiciness is being described by the word "warm" ... so these would have some heat, but it is a mild heat, allowing the fruitiness to come through, as well, hence 'warm and fruity' ... like a sweet paprika. A bell pepper wouldn't be described as "warm," as they have no heat (0 scovilles) as opposed to very little heat but heat nonetheless.

I grow sweet peppers, and we just taste a slice of any pepper we're going to give to the piggies ... that way we can be sure that it is suitable for them, especially if it's a new variety for us to be growing.
