Mods please remove if this thread breaks forum rules - my apologies in advance if it does. But with the cost of living crisis hitting many pet owners I just wanted to let people know there is an online pet medicine provider who may be able to provide prescription drugs cheaper than if you get them direct from your vets.

They are a legitimate company. I had them recommend by a friend who was recommended them by her pet insurance provider. My mum also used them to buy Loxicom for her piggy with arthritis at a significantly lower price than what her vets would offer. You do need a vet prescription, so you can’t buy any drugs without visiting a vet for diagnosis. You upload the vet prescription and then order the medication and it’s sent in the post.

The company is Pet Drugs Online. They have good reviews. So if you are looking at reducing bills and you have a pet that needs regular prescriptions then they may be worth a look.

Again, mods please delete if this breaks forum rules.

I used these when I had Delilah on Loxicom for lymphoma. They were very good and it’s was easy to order with a prescription. Definitely much cheaper than getting it from the vets!

No breach of any rules. As long as you have a prescription from your vet it’s perfectly reasonable to try to buy the drugs cheaper elsewhere. The only issue is what your vets may choose to charge you for writing the prescription in the first place. Some vets are very reasonable about this, others are more expensive.

Another 👍🏻 vote from me too.
I've used 'Pet Drugs Online' for years, I actually used to telephone them as it was before I had broadband, they've always been super helpful & very competitive prices 💷

I usually compare between them, Viovet & Animed. They're all reliable online suppliers & do prescription meds a lot cheaper generally than the vets (they also sell non prescription items too).
My vet was going to charge £10 for writing the prescription. But it would save me £40-£50 on ringworm treatment rather than buy directly from the vets.

Also 'Remend' eye drops were a regular purchase with Orca's eye issues, think they were £7 online & £14+ from the vet.

'Xeno' ivermectin mite drops are also a lot cheaper from these three online, than the vets (vet said she would be the same & buy online as hers were nearly twice the price!).

We all need to look for savings, thank you for pointing us in the right direction :D

Ps... Petdrugsonline & Viovet also donate towards the 'Easyfundraising' website scheme, that donates a percentage of the sale to charities (mine's TEAS) for no extra cost :) 👍🏻
