Hey.
I've just bought pets at home pro c probiotics. It says to either add a scoop of powder to 200ml of drinking water or a scoop to 300g of food.

I always use fibreplex and never used any others. I prefer the syringe administration cause I know who's getting what. Is there a way I can dose and syringe feed this probiotic?

Thanks guys.

Never used it.

But if it is like the stuff we have used in past that is a powder - Avipro Plus. Would do a pinch or so in a ramekin of water and carefully syringe them some. They will probably drink from syringe

Thanks Lee :)
I think it is about the same as the avipro stuff.

Not gunna lie....I prefer the syringe of fibreplex lol

It is very similarly looks of it, i reckon they will love the taste. It is like piggy crack.....

might be better to syringe feed them this…..if you put in water bottle theres no way to know how much they get.
Might be wrong though, as i thought also certain additives added to drinking water just dissolve over time or is that just Vit c?

Ahhh good. I just assumed they would hate it.
I cba trying right now. I can hear Stanley clattering about under the bed somewhere and I'm in no mood for a furball hunt or looking for a bag to rustle. I'll just wait until he gets bored and wanders back to his cage, then I'll strike. Lol

Yeah there's no way I'm adding it to the water. Stan isn't a good drinker anyway and I don't wanna deter him from anymore. And I wouldn't know who was getting what. I'll use the syringe. Hopefully they'll like it and I don't have to get into a battle of wills with them :box:

my Rabbits are due their wormers and honest to god they know!
i have to be so quick to not only catch them but give it to them too.
And theres me thinking my dog was bad…Barneys an angel in comparison!

@lawz Lol! Awww.
I'd rather give the dog meds any day rather than the pigs. Just mix sandys with a little bit of cheese and she'll eat anything. The pigs act as if I'm coming at them with an axe when they see the syringe.
Ha. I've never had rabbits but I've heard a good few times that they have the attitude of a guinea pig x20 when they're in no mood for fuss. I don't envy you lol :mal:

I've used this, my pigs love the taste of it. When they're poorly I will make up a bottle of it, syringe them with it then put the bottle of it in the cage. They also have a bottle of plain water if they want to drink it. I have found that most of my pigs will go to the pro-c first then the plain water.

@sport_billy you weren't joking about the stuff being like piggy crack! I filled a water bottle with 200ml water and the probiotics at night and it was completely empty by morning. I just refilled it and they're squabbling over it and completely ignoring their dried nettles :yikes:

Dont think adding to water is a good idea
Fibraplex is a much better option

It's okay, he's getting syringe fed it too and they have a bottle of plain water beside it. He's just getting it as a precaution because he's on septrin just now. :)
