We all hold are pets dearly in our hearts, i watch many put to sleep and undergo medical procedures everyday. We do our best for the creatures we love so much. And I'm so thankful to be able to help (most) of my patients as much as i can. I dont care what creature i have to nurse, everything deserves a chance to live and a chance to be healthy once again, cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, small furries, they are all cherished pets to someone. Not one animal is more important than another.

They listen to us while we rant, never answer back (well unless theyre hungry lol) they make us smile when we're sad, dry our tears and are there through every good an bad moment of our lives. Right by our sides, always loyal, stalwart and true to us. We love our pets so dearly, and they break our hearts so much when they have to leave us, even if we've only known some for a short time. But they will be waiting for us when our time comes in the distant future at the bridge.

I'm sure many of us can recall a moment when pets will come to us and just 'know'. When your upset or need support. Its just something theyre all good at, one way or another. It must be very sad for some who has never experienced this kind of love. Between owner and pet, its magical. Everyone should have a pet of some kind to bring joy, life and love to their home.

I hate seeing broken hearted owners when i have to help and put animals to sleep. But it just reminds me how much we so deeply love our pets so much and want the best for them. For when the time does come for them, i understand, that one of the biggest gestures of love you can give a pet is to let them go. Let them be at peace and rest. They really do break our hearts over and over again.

RIP to all those ive known, loved and lost - Clyde, Tigger, Timmy, Tina, Twinkle, Boo, Bacchus, Jasper, Lady, Basil, Princess, Pauper, Little Man and many others ive nursed and lost at work. I'm know there will be more when the time comes, and they will send me to pieces once again.

x

Ps. Sorry, just something I had to write.

that's lovely and well put, it describes how much we feel for our animals and sometimes I think why do we put ourselves through it knowing we will lose them oneday.

But the joy of owning a pet outweighs that and the best life we can give them in our care:)

:0:0:0 What a lovely post and well written, it had me in tears. Losing a pet is very hard. I have lost two cats over the years and it is so hard to go through the death of a beloved pet.

That was very beautiful. 8... The the only thing I don't like about owning a pet is knowing that they don't usually live as long as we do. But, the happiness you get owning a pet outweighs the suffering that comes when they are gone.

Beautifully put. Animals give us so much and ask so little in return. They sometimes do what they can just to make us laugh

Very well written and so true.

I must admit that just recently I'm thinking too much about losing mine, all my piggies are round about the same age. I have to stop myself thinking about it, i find myself starring at them when they are asleep checking if they are still breathing.

Murphy RIP passed last August three months short of his 4th birthday, Chocs will be 4 next month, Joe and Jim 4 in April and Trinny, Susannah & Honeyb will all be 4 in July. Squeak was only 2 last October.

My Rabbits Binky will be 4 in March and Ella was 3 last October.

Cats Holly is 13 today and Ruby will be 8 in April.

Its scarey the thought of losing them. 8...

As much as its heart breaking losing them i cannot imagine not having furrys as part of our family.x)
